Vietnam has presented a strategic framework for incorporating artificial intelligence into its education system while maintaining a human-centred approach, according to statements made at an international education convention. The Vietnamese delegation outlined both opportunities and challenges posed by AI adoption in general education, recognising the technology's potential alongside implementation concerns.

Central to Vietnam's proposal is a four-layer leadership model designed to guide AI integration across the education sector. The framework addresses leadership styles, institutional mechanisms, specific areas for AI application, and measurable integration outcomes. This structured approach reflects Vietnam's commitment to methodical implementation rather than rapid, uncontrolled AI deployment.

The emphasis on human-centred AI integration aligns with Vietnam's broader policy direction in education. Recent initiatives have seen the country pursue enhanced international cooperation, including a Letter of Intent on Education and Training signed with the European Union, while prioritising the highest quality standards and student safety.

Vietnam's education leadership has stressed the importance of coordinated efforts across foreign affairs and international integration in culture and education sectors. The proposed AI framework represents part of this wider strategy to modernise Vietnamese education while maintaining core values centred on human development and welfare.
