Vietnam reaffirms commitment to deepening Cambodia ties with CPP youth leaders

Tran Cam Tu, a Politburo member and Standing Member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat, hosted the delegation of young CPP officials to reaffirm Vietnam's commitment to Cambodia relations. During the engagement, Tran Cam Tu stressed that the Vietnamese Party and State prioritise the development of neighbourly ties, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability with Cambodia.

The meeting highlighted Vietnam's strategic focus on strengthening political bonds with its southwestern neighbour through multi-level exchanges and dialogue mechanisms. Such engagements serve to build mutual understanding and facilitate coordination between the two ruling parties on matters of regional importance.

Vietnam and Cambodia have pursued closer integration across multiple sectors in recent years, including trade, defence cooperation and cultural exchanges. The emphasis on youth leadership engagement signals both nations' investment in sustaining institutional ties through successive generations of political leaders.

The visit underscores the broader context of Vietnam-Cambodia relations, which have seen notable progress in recent months through high-level visits, trade expos and expanded defence cooperation initiatives. Both countries have designated their relationship as a strategic priority within Southeast Asia's evolving geopolitical landscape.
