Vietnam's airports record 102 million passengers in first nine months

Vietnam's airport network processed 101.8 million passengers during the nine-month period, underscoring the country's expanding role in regional aviation. Domestic travel accounted for 62 million passengers, while international routes carried more than 39 million travelers, according to aviation authorities.

The strong performance reflects Vietnam's growing connectivity on the global aviation map. Three Vietnamese airports have ranked among Asia-Pacific's most improved in air connectivity metrics, while the country's major hubs have established positions within the world's top 50 most connected airports.

Expansion efforts are accelerating across the network. Sun Group and Changi Airports International recently expanded their strategic partnership to develop Vietnam's airport infrastructure, signaling confidence in sustained growth in the sector.

The double-digit growth in both domestic and international segments indicates strengthening demand for air travel within Vietnam and increasing interest in routes connecting the country to regional and international destinations. The passenger surge comes as airports invest in capacity expansion and operational improvements to accommodate rising traffic volumes.
