National Assembly President Tran Thanh Man addressed the 10th National Buddhist Congress, emphasising the need for greater unity and coordinated action within Vietnam's Buddhist community. Speaking to delegates gathered for the congress, which will guide the Buddhist Sangha through 2031, Mr Tran urged participants to align their efforts in advancing shared objectives.
The NA President stressed the importance of identifying and rectifying existing shortcomings within the organisation's structure and operations. His remarks reflected concerns about strengthening institutional capacity as the Buddhist community embarks on its new tenure.
Mr Tran called for the development of a dignified, robust and progressive Buddhist Sangha that can effectively represent its members and contribute meaningfully to Vietnamese society. The emphasis on building organisational strength suggests efforts to enhance the religious body's influence and effectiveness during the coming five-year period.
The congress represents a significant gathering for Vietnam's Buddhist community, with delegates tasked with setting strategic direction and addressing key challenges facing the faith. The leadership's focus on unity and organisational resilience underscores the importance placed on consolidated Buddhist representation in the nation.
