Vietnam's Communist Party convenes fourth plenum to advance reform agenda

The plenum brought together senior Party officials to assess progress on major initiatives and chart the course for upcoming policy implementation. Party leadership emphasized the need to create favorable conditions for executing decisions made at the 14th National Party Congress, which had established key development orientations and strategic objectives for the nation.
During the session, Party officials highlighted the significance of previous plenums, which had produced important resolutions on Party organization, personnel appointments, economic development and national defence. The fourth plenum was tasked with ensuring these policies would be effectively implemented across government institutions and society.
Party leadership stressed the importance of building robust theoretical, organizational and human resource foundations to support Vietnam's development trajectory. Officials acknowledged that successful policy execution requires careful preparation and coordination among Party bodies and state agencies at all levels.
The plenum also addressed the Party's approach to national security and social development in the current era, reflecting efforts to adapt governance strategies to contemporary challenges.
