Tran Thanh Man, president of Vietnam's National Assembly, is set to travel to China next month for high-level legislative exchanges. During the five-day visit, he will co-preside over the second session of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and China's National People's Congress, the country's top legislative body.
The bilateral engagement reflects strengthened institutional cooperation between the two nations' parliaments, providing a platform for lawmakers to discuss shared interests and coordinate on matters of mutual concern. Such exchanges have become increasingly important as Vietnam and China work to deepen their strategic relationship across multiple sectors.
The visit comes as economic ties between the two countries continue to flourish. China has emerged as Vietnam's second-largest rice export market, demonstrating the significance of their commercial partnership. Additionally, Vietnam has marked celebrations of China's 77th founding anniversary in recent weeks, underscoring the friendly relations maintained between the two neighbors.
Official visits and parliamentary cooperation mechanisms serve as key channels for strengthening bilateral dialogue and advancing substantive partnerships on trade, investment, and regional development initiatives. The upcoming legislative session is expected to build on previous cooperative frameworks while exploring new areas of mutual benefit.
