The National Assembly is scheduled to scrutinize the draft Law on Data Security, the draft Law on Electronic Identification and Authentication, and a revised draft Law on Handling of Administrative Violations during its November 4 plenary sitting, as deliberations continue through the assembly's second session.
The data security legislation represents a key component of Vietnam's broader digital governance framework, addressing growing concerns over information protection in an increasingly interconnected economy. The electronic identification and authentication law is designed to establish standardized protocols for digital transactions and identity verification across government and commercial sectors.
The plenary session will also consider amendments to the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations, part of the assembly's continued legislative review process. Concurrently, lawmakers have been addressing other priority matters, including proposed amendments to the Electricity Law aimed at ensuring transparent and equitable power pricing mechanisms.
The National Assembly has also advanced discussions on amendments to the law governing human organ and tissue donation and transplantation, with revised provisions emphasizing protections for children's rights and interests. These legislative initiatives reflect the assembly's focus on modernizing Vietnam's legal framework across infrastructure, healthcare, and digital sectors.
