Vietnam's National Assembly to streamline legal document framework

The National Assembly's second session will consider 43 draft laws and resolutions, with priority given to streamlining the country's legal documentation system. Legislators are scheduled to hold group discussions on three key measures: the draft law on compulsory purchase and requisition of property, the draft law on legal normative documents, and an implementation report outlining progress on previous legislative initiatives.

Among the priority items under review are revised housing and real estate business laws, which the NA Standing Committee has been examining in preparation for the full assembly sessions. These reforms are part of a broader effort to modernize Vietnam's legal framework and improve regulatory clarity in critical economic sectors.

Full-time National Assembly deputies have emphasized the importance of prioritizing legislative quality over quantity, with 17 draft laws advancing to the second session following rigorous scrutiny. Officials indicated that the focus on legal normative documents reflects growing concern about consistency and effectiveness across Vietnam's regulatory environment, particularly in property rights and real estate governance.
