Vietnam has achieved significant gains in building its national brand value, with the country now ranking as the world's 32nd most valuable nation brand, up from a lower position six years earlier. The $462.28 billion valuation represents a strong upward trajectory driven by improvements across multiple sectors of the Vietnamese economy.
The growth reflects broader efforts to enhance Vietnam's international standing and corporate competitiveness on the global stage. The country has leveraged initiatives including the World Economic Forum's co-branding of the Autumn Economic Forum 2026 in Ho Chi Mihn City, which has helped raise Vietnam's profile among international business and government leaders.
However, analysts point out that climbing rankings and expanding nominal brand value represent only part of the challenge facing Vietnamese enterprises. The more critical objective involves converting these gains into sustained competitive advantages and securing deeper integration into global value chains, where Vietnamese firms can capture greater value from international trade and investment flows.
To realize these ambitions, policymakers and business leaders are pursuing measures to elevate Vietnam's tourism brand and enhance the competitiveness of domestic companies in priority sectors. Success will require continued focus on innovation, quality standards, and strategic positioning within regional and global markets.
