Vietnam seeks Danish investment in technology and expertise, leader says

Vietnam is looking to attract not only capital from Danish investors but also advanced technologies, specialized expertise, modern management practices and high-quality human resources, according to remarks made by a senior Vietnamese leader at the Vietnam–Denmark Business Forum.

The leader stressed that Denmark's experience, resources and international reputation could play a vital role in supporting Vietnam's development objectives. He encouraged Danish enterprises to forge stronger connections between foreign investors and domestic Vietnamese businesses to maximize mutual benefits.

The appeal reflects Vietnam's strategic approach to foreign investment, prioritizing qualitative gains alongside financial inflows. By attracting technology transfers and research and development capabilities, Vietnam aims to strengthen its industrial base and foster innovation across multiple sectors.

The forum underscored the deepening bilateral relationship between the two nations. Vietnam and Denmark have maintained long-standing ties characterized by multifaceted cooperation spanning trade, investment, technology and cultural exchanges.

Danish businesses have traditionally been active in Vietnam's energy, agriculture and manufacturing sectors. The renewed emphasis on technology and R&D cooperation suggests both countries are exploring new areas for expanded partnership in the coming years.
