Nguyen Long Hai, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary, underscored the value of Singapore's experience across multiple sectors during high-level Party-to-Party exchanges between the two nations.
The Vietnamese official highlighted Singapore's track record in personnel training, green transition initiatives, digital transformation and economic development as areas from which Vietnam can draw lessons. The recognition reflects Hanoi's strategic interest in adopting proven governance and economic practices from a regional peer.
The enhanced dialogue comes as Vietnam and Singapore pursue deeper integration across several key domains. The two countries are working to strengthen capital market connectivity, expand cooperation in semiconductor workforce development, and establish technology as a cornerstone of bilateral strategic partnership.
These initiatives underscore both nations' commitment to leveraging complementary strengths in the technology and finance sectors, positioning the relationship as increasingly critical to regional economic competitiveness. Party-to-Party channels have historically served as foundational platforms for substantive policy cooperation between Hanoi and Singapore.
