The meeting underscored the importance of sustained engagement between Vietnamese and South Korean organizations, businesses and citizens in broadening the foundation of the two countries' relationship, according to officials familiar with the discussion.
The National Assembly president emphasized South Korea's contributions to Vietnam's development through various government bodies, private enterprises and non-governmental organizations. He noted that such grassroots connections are essential for translating high-level diplomatic frameworks into tangible benefits for both populations.
The exchange reflects broader efforts to deepen the Vietnam-South Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which encompasses cooperation across industrial development, investment, and technology sectors. Parliamentary ties have emerged as a key channel for facilitating policy coordination and legislative collaboration between the two nations.
People-to-people diplomacy has become increasingly central to Vietnam and South Korea's bilateral agenda, complementing traditional state-to-state relations. Officials on both sides view expanded cultural, educational and business exchanges as vital mechanisms for strengthening mutual understanding and advancing shared interests in the region.
