Vietnam, Turkey deepen security cooperation with technology transfer plans

Vietnam and Turkey are exploring expanded cooperation in security technology and equipment manufacturing, according to Vietnam's Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang. During high-level discussions, Quang proposed that the two countries pursue technology transfer arrangements and joint ventures to develop vehicles and equipment supporting national security, public order, and safety operations. The proposal reflects growing momentum in Vietnam-Turkey bilateral relations, with top leaders meeting recently on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly's 81st session to advance mutual interests. Beyond security collaboration, the two nations are also working to strengthen economic connectivity through new channels. Turkish cooperatives have opened sourcing opportunities for Vietnamese businesses, creating additional avenues for commercial engagement between the countries. Officials from both sides have signaled commitment to translating these discussions into concrete projects that will benefit their respective security and economic sectors.
