The Ministry of Science and Technology accepted the award on behalf of the Vietnamese Government at the opening of the Ministerial Roundtable on Digital and Artificial Intelligence on October 28, marking a significant recognition of Vietnam's policy direction in emerging technologies.

The award underscores Vietnam's efforts to establish a robust digital ecosystem and position itself as a regional hub for artificial intelligence innovation. The recognition comes as the government intensifies efforts to attract and retain talent in key technology sectors, particularly data science and digital innovation.

Government mechanisms unveiled as part of the initiative aim to draw domestic and international experts, as well as young Vietnamese professionals, to contribute to the country's data-driven development strategy. The focus reflects broader regional trends toward leveraging digital transformation to enhance economic competitiveness and technological capability.

Vietnam International Digital Week 2026, hosted in Quang Ninh province, serves as a platform for regional dialogue on digital advancement and technology policy cooperation across Southeast Asia.
