Vietnamese dairy giant's Cambodia venture hailed as business success

Cambodia's prime minister has highlighted Vinamilk's Angkormilk venture as evidence of Vietnamese businesses thriving in the neighboring country, underscoring deepening economic ties between the two nations. The dairy operation has grown substantially from its initial capital injection of over 20 million USD, with Vinamilk's total investment reaching 51.7 million USD to date.

Performance metrics reveal the project's profitability over the past decade. During the 2015-2025 period, Angkormilk generated cumulative revenues of 573 million USD while posting post-tax profits of 83 million USD, demonstrating the venture's commercial viability in the Cambodian market.

The success of Angkormilk reflects broader momentum in Vietnam-Cambodia economic cooperation. Trade between the two countries continues to accelerate, with officials targeting a bilateral trade volume of 20 billion USD as both nations seek to strengthen commercial partnerships across multiple sectors.

Vinamilk's expansion in Cambodia aligns with its recognition as one of the world's top five percent strongest global brands, positioning the Vietnamese company as a major regional player in the dairy industry.
