Vietnamese provinces pitch investment ties during Hungary visit

Representatives from two major Vietnamese provinces concluded a four-day visit to Hungary on October 19, during which they promoted their respective strengths and investment potential to potential Hungarian partners. The delegations from Tay Ninh and Thanh Hoa, which ran from October 16-19, aimed to establish new economic and development ties between the provinces and Hungarian counterparts.

The visit highlighted both provinces' competitive advantages and business environments as Vietnam continues to expand its regional diplomatic and economic footprint. Officials from both provinces presented opportunities spanning multiple sectors to Hungarian investors and government representatives during the visit.

The delegations' visit reflects broader efforts to strengthen ties between Vietnam and Hungary. Recent initiatives have included cultural exchanges, with Vietnamese communities in Hungary organizing events celebrating national unity, while governmental and academic institutions have prioritized collaboration in agriculture, science and technology sectors.

The visit underscores Vietnam's strategy of deepening people-to-people and institutional connections across Central Europe, with provincial governments taking active roles in identifying and nurturing international partnerships that support local economic development.
