Authorities seized ₹14.10 lakh along with $788 in cash from the residence of GST Joint Commissioner Prajani Rajan at Pachalam in Kochi on Saturday, according to a statement from the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The recovery marks the latest in a series of checks being conducted by the anti-corruption agency in the state. The VACB did not immediately disclose details regarding the circumstances leading to the search or whether the official had provided any explanation for the presence of the currency at the residence.
