Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted his maiden visit to Pudukottai district since assuming office in May, focusing on welfare disbursement and infrastructure development. The CM inaugurated a new bus stand at the district headquarters, adding to the region's transport infrastructure.
As part of the visit, Stalin distributed welfare assistance totalling ₹62.73 crore to 13,676 beneficiaries across the district. The disbursement targeted multiple welfare schemes, reflecting the government's focus on social security programmes in the region.
Beyond the welfare distribution, the Chief Minister formally inaugurated 44 completed developmental works during the visit. The projects spanned various sectors including public works, civic amenities, and local infrastructure improvements.
The visit underscored the government's commitment to reaching out to districts outside the state capital and ensuring equitable distribution of welfare benefits and developmental initiatives. Stalin's tour of Pudukottai marked a continuation of the state administration's engagement with peripheral districts.
