Vijay slams DMK-AIADMK alliance prospects at Tamil Nadu bypoll rally

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay intensified his political offensive against both the DMK and AIADMK during a bypoll campaign event in Dharapuram, warning that a potential alliance between the two parties would undermine the Tamil Nadu's political landscape.

Addressing supporters at the rally, Vijay alleged that the AIADMK was contemplating joining forces with what he termed an "evil" DMK, a move he contended would constitute a fundamental betrayal of the principles upheld by late party founders M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa.

The Chief Minister's remarks underscore growing tensions within Tamil Nadu's political sphere as the state prepares for the bypoll. Vijay has previously positioned his party as a counter to both the DMK and AIADMK, critiquing what he describes as dynastic politics and institutional decay in the state.
