Vincent Hoong takes helm at CEA from November 1

Vincent Hoong will assume the role of president at the Chemical Engineers' Association of Singapore (CEA) effective November 1, succeeding Quek See Tiat in the position. The transition marks a significant leadership change for the professional body representing Singapore's chemical engineering sector.

Beyond the presidential appointment, the association will introduce a new deputy president and five additional council members to its governing structure from the same date. The expanded council membership reflects the organisation's efforts to strengthen its governance and representation across the industry.

The CEA, which serves as the professional home for chemical engineers and related professionals in Singapore, regularly refreshes its leadership to ensure continued relevance and strategic direction. The November changeover will bring new perspectives to the association's stewardship during a period of evolving industrial priorities in the region.

Details regarding the identities of the incoming deputy president and new council members are expected to be announced in due course as the CEA formalises the transition.
