Visakhapatnam cricket venue opens new practice facilities

The Andhra Cricket Association and Vizianagaram District Cricket Association jointly opened four new practice nets at the ACA–VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, bolstering the venue's training facilities. The addition addresses growing demand for quality practice grounds in the region and supports the development of cricket talent across age groups.
The practice nets are equipped with modern amenities designed to meet international standards for player conditioning and skill development. The facility expansion comes as Visakhapatnam continues to establish itself as a significant cricket hub in South India, hosting both domestic tournaments and international fixtures.
Cricket administrators emphasised that the new infrastructure will benefit players preparing for competitive cricket at various levels. The nets provide dedicated space for batting, bowling, and fielding practice, accommodating simultaneous training sessions for multiple teams and age groups.
The ACA–VDCA Stadium has progressively upgraded its facilities in recent years to support cricket development initiatives in Andhra Pradesh. These additions align with broader efforts to enhance sports infrastructure and nurture emerging talent in the state.
