Representatives from TASS, one of Russia's leading news organizations, held working discussions with Vietnam News Agency (VNA) officials on October 21 to advance bilateral cooperation in the multimedia news sector. The visit focused on identifying opportunities for knowledge-sharing and collaborative projects between the two state news services.

Vietnam News Agency, the country's primary national news wire, has been actively expanding its international partnerships amid a broader push to modernize its operations and digital presence. The discussions with TASS representatives align with VNA's strategic objectives to strengthen ties with major news agencies across Asia and beyond.

The meeting comes as VNA prepares to host the 59th Executive Board Meeting of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), underscoring the agency's role as a key player in regional media cooperation. Earlier this month, Vietnamese photojournalism was also featured prominently at OANA's 65th anniversary exhibition, highlighting Vietnam's contributions to Asia-Pacific journalism.

Both agencies indicated their commitment to exploring practical areas of cooperation, including training programs, content exchange, and technological development in multimedia news production. The partnership reflects the broader strategic relationship between Vietnam and Russia, which extends across numerous sectors including culture and information.
