VP Duterte best positioned to address impeachment accusations, says Chua

MANILA — Only Vice President Sara Duterte can provide proper answers to the various accusations leveled against her, according to Manila Representative Joel Chua, a member of the House of Representatives.

Chua made the statement during a press conference on Tuesday, asserting that Duterte herself is best positioned to address each article of impeachment filed against her. "We believe that no person can best explain each article [of impeachment] other than our vice president," Chua said.

Among the allegations facing Duterte are claims regarding the alleged misuse of her confidential and intelligence funds. The accusations have sparked renewed discussions in Congress about the handling of executive funds and accountability measures for high-ranking officials.
