Manila — Prosecution witness Alexander Cabrera, a lawyer and accountant, presented a detailed financial analysis Friday suggesting Vice President Sara Duterte had total unexplained wealth of P817.87 million over a four-year period, according to evidence presented during her ongoing trial.
The testimony came during the 37th day of proceedings as House Prosecutor Rep. Chel Diokno led the direct examination of Cabrera. The witness had prepared a comprehensive table documenting the alleged accumulation of wealth from 2022 through 2025, which prosecutors sought to introduce as evidence.
The presentation of financial records and analysis represents a significant development in the case against the vice president. Cabrera's findings are expected to form a cornerstone of the prosecution's argument regarding allegations of unexplained wealth.
The trial continues as additional evidence is presented and witnesses provide testimony. Further examination of the financial analysis is expected in coming sessions.
