The man appeared before the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday to answer charges related to the incident. Court documents indicate the accused was operating a motor vehicle while allegedly impaired by alcohol, resulting in injuries to two individuals participating in a marathon event.

The case centres on allegations of dangerous driving while under the influence, with authorities investigating the circumstances that led to the collision. The two runners affected by the incident sustained injuries that required medical attention.

The accused, employed at a warehouse facility for an e-commerce platform, maintains his innocence against the charges brought by prosecutors. The matter has been scheduled for further court proceedings as the legal process unfolds.
