Weather bureau warns of tropical depression threat outside Philippine waters
The state weather agency has flagged a low pressure area situated beyond the Philippine area of responsibility as having a high likelihood of intensifying into a tropical depression within 24 hours. The system is expected to bring weather impacts to parts of the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued the advisory on Tuesday, noting that atmospheric conditions are favorable for the low pressure area to develop further.
