The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) bringing unsettled weather conditions to multiple island groups in the south and southeast.
In its 5 a.m. weather forecast Tuesday, the agency identified Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao as areas most likely to experience cloudy conditions and rain throughout the day.
The ITCZ, a weather system characterized by low pressure and converging trade winds, regularly brings precipitation to portions of the Philippines during certain periods of the year. Residents in affected areas are advised to monitor weather updates as conditions may impact travel, outdoor activities, and agricultural operations.
No storm signals have been issued in connection with the system. Pagasa continues to monitor atmospheric developments and will provide updated forecasts as conditions evolve.
