The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned Friday that a low-pressure area off the coast of Northern Samar will continue affecting portions of the country through October 10.
In its 4 p.m. advisory, Pagasa identified the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon as areas likely to experience significant rainfall from the weather system. Residents in these provinces have been advised to prepare for wet conditions and potential flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
The agency is expected to issue updated advisories as the system develops and moves across the archipelago. Residents are encouraged to monitor official weather updates and heed advisories from local disaster management authorities.
