West Ham moves to appoint Parker as manager following Nuno exit

West Ham United has initiated talks with Scott Parker regarding the vacant managerial position, following the club's decision to part ways with Nuno Espírito Santo. The London club is reportedly keen to move quickly through the appointment process to have a new manager in place ahead of their Welsh Cup encounter.

Parker, who spent the previous campaign managing Fulham in the Championship, is among the leading candidates being considered for the role. His experience in English football, combined with his track record in the second tier, makes him an attractive prospect for the Hammers' hierarchy.

Should negotiations prove successful, Parker could take charge for Wednesday's match against Cardiff, providing continuity for the club during a period of transition. The club's swift action reflects its desire to minimize disruption during what remains a crucial phase of the season.

The appointment would mark Parker's return to top-flight management after his previous stint managing Fulham in the Premier League. His tactical acumen and familiarity with English club football could prove instrumental as West Ham looks to stabilize its campaign.
