West Indies level India series with dominant 24-run victory in fourth T20I
A commanding batting display led by Shai Hope's unbeaten century and a clinical bowling performance from Keemo Paul helped the West Indies draw level in their five-match T20 series with India on Wednesday. The Caribbean side's 247-run total proved too steep for the home team, who managed 223 all out in their chase.

The West Indies mounted a clinical display to level the series 2-2, with their batsmen putting on a dominant performance at the crease before restricting India's reply effectively. Shai Hope's unbeaten 102, studded with nine sixes and four fours off 50 balls, formed the cornerstone of the West Indies' 247 for three, while Sherfane Rutherford contributed an unbeaten 49 off 26 deliveries featuring four boundaries and three maximums.
India's chase faltered from the outset despite an aggressive start from Sanju Samson, who smashed 56 runs off just 23 balls. The home team succumbed for 223 all out in 19.3 overs, unable to match the West Indies' intensity. Keemo Paul's exceptional bowling haul of 5 for 41 proved decisive in restricting the chase, while pacer Shamar Joseph struck a blow—literally—in the final over when Arshdeep Singh took a hit to his right shoulder and was subsequently retired out.
The decisive victory sets up a thrilling climax to the series with the fifth and final T20 International scheduled for Saturday at Bengaluru's M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where both sides will compete for overall honours in the contest.
