West Indies pulls off second-highest T20I chase to stun India

The West Indies scripted a memorable victory over India in the second T20 International, completing the second-highest successful chase in T20I cricket history. The Caribbean side's remarkable run chase not only secured them a win against the formidable Indian team but also etched their name in the record books as achievers of the format's highest successful pursuit.

This commanding performance surpassed the West Indies' previous best chase in T20 Internationals—a 232-run effort against South Africa in 2025. The latest triumph demonstrates the team's aggressive approach and batting prowess in the shortest format of the game.

The result has added an intriguing dimension to the bilateral series between India and West Indies. The home side's inability to defend their total in the second encounter comes as a setback after the earlier proceedings in the series.

The West Indies' successful chase highlights their growing strength in T20 cricket despite their inconsistent performances in recent years. The win provides the team with renewed confidence as they continue their campaign in international T20 cricket.
