WhatsApp to roll out birthday reminder feature for users

WhatsApp is set to launch a birthday reminder feature designed to help users keep track of important dates among their contacts. The new tool will alert users when a contact's birthday is approaching, allowing them to reach out immediately through calls or messages directly from the platform.
The birthday reminder functionality will integrate seamlessly with users' existing contact lists on WhatsApp, providing a consolidated way to manage personal milestones. Users will be able to access birthday information alongside their regular contact details, eliminating the need to rely on external reminders or calendar applications.
Accompanying this feature, WhatsApp is introducing a new Contacts tab at the bottom of the mobile app interface. This addition aims to streamline navigation and make contact management more intuitive for users, centralizing all contact-related functions in one dedicated section.
