MANILA — Erwin Matib, a partner at Pecabar Law, has joined the private legal team supporting the House prosecution panel in the ongoing impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Matib joined Pecabar Law in 2016, and currently heads the firm's Special Projects and Tax divisions. The law firm, formerly known as Ponce Enrile Reyes & Manalastas Law Offices, is among Manila's established legal practices.
As part of the prosecution panel's legal team, Matib is assisting with the impeachment case against the Vice President. His appointment reflects the House's strategy of bolstering its prosecution panel with experienced private sector lawyers alongside government prosecutors.
