Authorities in Bijnor have arrested a woman identified as Urmila and her alleged lover Sikandar in connection with the murder of her husband Pramod in Baraul, Bagpat district. According to police investigation, Urmila orchestrated the killing to remove her spouse from her life and pursue her relationship with Sikandar.
Investigators allege that Urmila administered sleeping pills to her husband before the assault. Sikandar, the alleged accomplice, reportedly sent live updates of the crime via WhatsApp during the incident, providing real-time coordination of the attack.
In a notable turn of events, police say Urmila immediately blocked Sikandar's phone number on WhatsApp after confirming her husband's death, effectively severing communication and potentially destroying evidence of their coordination.
The case has drawn attention for the premeditated nature of the crime and the use of digital communication to coordinate the murder. Police have registered charges against both accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
