Woman arrested for stealing newborn from Uttar Pradesh hospital

Authorities in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have recovered a newborn who was stolen from the district women's hospital and arrested the woman accused of the theft. The recovery came after surveillance footage from the hospital revealed the circumstances surrounding the disappearance.

The accused, identified as Aashu, was taken into custody and questioned by police. During interrogation, she revealed that she had stolen the newborn because she was unable to have children of her own. She had brought the infant home and attempted to pass the child off as her biological son.
