A woman was apprehended at Jalgaon railway station in Maharashtra during Independence Day security checks while impersonating a Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer. The woman, dressed in an official RPF uniform, claimed to be posted at Nashik RPF but could not produce any valid identification documents when questioned by authorities.

Further investigation revealed that her claims of being an RPF personnel were false. During interrogation, the woman confessed to wearing the uniform without authorization, revealing her motive was to gain social influence and credibility in marriage-related matters.

The incident came to light during routine security operations at the railway station. Authorities registered a case against the woman for impersonating a government official and misusing an official uniform. The case highlights ongoing security concerns at public transportation hubs across Indian Railways.
