Woman arrested in Cagayan drug bust with half-million pesos worth of shabu

TUGUEGARAO CITY — Authorities arrested a woman identified as "Ana" following a buy-bust operation in Barangay Punta, Aparri, Cagayan on August 17. The suspect, a physical therapist from Camalaniugan municipality, was caught in possession of 80 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of P544,000.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency's Regional Special Enforcement Team conducted the undercover operation as part of its continuing anti-narcotics campaign in the region. Officers recovered the illegal drugs during the enforcement activity, according to police records.

The arrest marks another significant development in drug enforcement operations across northern Luzon. Authorities have transferred the case to the appropriate prosecutor's office for the filing of charges.
