Woman arrested in husband's murder after jealousy dispute in Uttarakhand

Authorities in Dehradun have arrested two people in connection with the murder of Madan Mukhiya, 32, in the Premnagar area. The suspects, identified as Devi, the victim's wife, and Lallan Sharma, a neighbour, have been accused of jointly planning and executing the killing.

According to police accounts, tensions escalated when Mukhiya discovered photographs of his wife on Sharma's mobile phone, prompting him to issue threats to the neighbour. Rather than backing down, the two accused allegedly decided to eliminate the threat posed by the victim.

Investigators allege that Devi and Sharma conspired to commit the murder, with both playing active roles in the crime. The case has drawn significant attention in the region as police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities are examining evidence related to the discovery of the photographs and the sequence of events that preceded the alleged murder. Both suspects are currently in police custody as the investigation progresses.
