A beautician was discovered unconscious in a hotel room in Indore and subsequently declared dead by medical staff. Police have launched a search for a man believed to have been present in the room at the time of the incident.

Woman beautician found dead in Indore hotel; manhunt underway

A woman identified as Sonila Sharma, a beautician, was found unconscious in Room 101 of an LX Hotel in Indore on Friday. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.

According to preliminary postmortem findings, death appears to have occurred by asphyxiation. The Indore Police Department has initiated a manhunt for Deepak Khandelwal, the man believed to have been present in the hotel room at the time of the incident.

CCTV footage retrieved from the hotel shows the man leaving the premises, followed by another individual transporting the victim to the hospital. Investigators are examining the security recordings as part of their ongoing probe into the circumstances surrounding the death.

The case is being treated as suspicious death pending completion of the full postmortem report. Police have registered a case and are appealing to the public for any information regarding Khandelwal's whereabouts.
