Woman Dies After Falling Into Boiling Sambhar at Andhra Religious Event

A tragic accident claimed the life of a woman in Vijayawada on Tuesday when she lost her balance and fell into a large container of boiling sambhar during preparations for a Vinayaka Chavithi Annadanam, a Hindu religious event involving ritual food distribution.

Sujata, 46, sustained fatal injuries in the incident that occurred while volunteers were preparing the traditional lentil-based curry. The accident was captured on closed-circuit television footage, which authorities have since reviewed as part of their investigation.

Vijayawada police have registered a case in connection with the death. Investigators are currently examining whether adequate safety measures and precautions were in place during the event's preparation phase.
