KOTA BHARU, Sept 24 — A woman was killed and five family members injured in a head-on collision in Tanah Merah, Kelantan on Wednesday afternoon. The accident, which involved at least two vehicles, occurred on a main highway in the district. The 39-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while her husband and their four children were conveyed to Kota Bharu Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the impact. Preliminary investigations by the Royal Malaysia Police indicate that the collision resulted from a vehicle crossing into the opposing traffic lane. The circumstances leading to the vehicular collision remain under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the incident.
