Woman files FIR over morphed photo displayed at Delhi protest

Riddhima Sharma, 25, has filed a First Information Report with Delhi police alleging unauthorized use and manipulation of her photograph during a recent protest at the iconic Jantar Mantar venue in the capital. According to her complaint, her image was digitally altered and displayed alongside inflammatory content during the demonstration.
The protest was organized by the Cockroach Janta Party, where Sharma claims derogatory remarks and slogans were directed at her through the use of her doctored photograph. She alleged that the manipulation and public display of her image constituted harassment and defamation.
In her FIR, Sharma identified several individuals she believed to be involved in organizing and executing the protest. However, police records currently list the accused as unidentified, suggesting ongoing investigation into the matter. Authorities have yet to make arrests or issue formal charges in connection with the complaint.
The incident highlights growing concerns over the misuse of personal images and digital manipulation for political purposes during public demonstrations. Police officials said the matter is under investigation and further action would be taken based on evidence gathered during the inquiry.
