A woman's body was found in room 103 of an OYO-branded hotel at Gokul Pride in SR Nagar, Hyderabad, on Tuesday. The woman had checked into the hotel with a young man, according to preliminary reports.
The room had been booked under the name C. Ganesh, police said. However, investigators have found conflicting information regarding the woman's identity. An Aadhar card recovered from the room bore the name Durga, while earlier hospital records listed her as Siresha.
The woman appeared to be in her youth, authorities confirmed. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The cause of death remained under investigation as of Tuesday evening, with authorities working to establish the woman's correct identity and determine what led to her death in the hotel room.
