Woman from UP found murdered in Jharkhand rental home

Anita Bind, a 25-year-old supervisor at the Women and Child Development Project Office in Sonua, was found murdered in her rented room in the Sheetla Temple area of Chakradharpur on Tuesday. The woman, originally from Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, had moved to the Jharkhand district barely two weeks earlier to take up her government position.

Local police recovered the body following a tip-off and arrested Anil Kumar Bind, a suspect who was apprehended at the scene. Initial examination of the body revealed multiple sharp weapon injuries. The accused was produced before a magistrate and remanded in police custody for further questioning.

Investigators are exploring several angles in the case, including the possibility of a romantic relationship between the victim and the accused.
