The woman appeared in court and pleaded guilty to charges relating to the unwanted physical contact with the two brothers. Court documents indicate that the offences occurred while she was under the influence of alcohol, which the judge took into consideration during sentencing.

The younger victim was 16 years old at the time of the incident, while his brother was 23. Prosecutors submitted that the non-consensual nature of the contact constituted a breach of the victims' personal autonomy, despite the absence of more serious physical harm.

The judge imposed a custodial sentence of 21 weeks, determining that imprisonment was warranted given the circumstances of the case. In delivering the sentence, the court considered factors including the woman's level of intoxication and the vulnerability of the younger victim.

The case underscores Singapore's approach to prosecuting non-consensual physical contact and the legal consequences that can follow such behaviour, regardless of the offender's state of intoxication at the time.
