The partnership aims to create pathways for women to develop technical skills and gain meaningful employment in Sri Lanka's growing technology industry. Through the collaboration, Women in Tech Sri Lanka and IIT Campus will work together to design programmes that address the underrepresentation of women in technology-related fields.

LeapGen's involvement in the initiative is expected to enhance the capacity and scope of existing training and mentorship schemes. The MoU signals a commitment from key stakeholders to bridge gender gaps in the technology sector through coordinated educational and professional development efforts.

The agreement represents an escalation of efforts to encourage more women to pursue careers in technology, addressing a persistent challenge in the South Asian tech ecosystem. By combining the expertise and networks of the signatory organizations, the initiative seeks to build a more inclusive technology workforce in Sri Lanka.

Further details regarding the specific programmes and timelines for implementation are expected to be announced by the participating organizations.
