TUGUEGARAO CITY — A worker lost his life to suffocation after the well he and two colleagues were excavating trapped them underground Monday in Barangay Balzain. The three men were engaged in contracted well-digging operations when the incident occurred, leaving one fatality and prompting a rapid rescue effort.
Local residents and emergency responders worked to extract the workers from the deep well. Two of the three men were successfully pulled to safety, though details on their condition were not immediately available.
