Rey Mysterio, the legendary Mexican-American wrestler, has provided insights into WWE's creative planning for the 2026 Survivor Series, one of the promotion's signature annual events. According to Mysterio's disclosure, the company is developing plans for a traditional team elimination bout featuring five wrestlers from each nation in direct competition.
The proposed international format would see Team USA face off against Team Mexico in what would mark a notable continuation of Survivor Series' traditional team-based wrestling format. WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Adam Pearce and Senior Vice President of Talent Relations Nick Aldis are reportedly involved in the roster construction process for both squads.
Survivor Series has historically showcased inter-brand and international competition throughout WWE's calendar. The event's traditional elimination matches remain central to the company's November programming strategy. However, WWE has not officially confirmed the specific details or participants for 2026's event, and plans remain subject to change as the company's creative direction evolves.
