Yadav takes swipe at regional parties over funding, autonomy concerns

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a veiled attack on regional political outfits, describing them as 'prepaid parties' that lack operational autonomy. Speaking without directly naming any party, Yadav suggested that certain political organizations receive their operational instructions and strategic direction from external sources rather than functioning independently.

Yadav's remarks appear to target All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and similar regional parties. He alleged that such parties operate with 'OTPs' generated elsewhere, using a metaphor to suggest they lack independent decision-making authority and follow scripts written by others.

The Samajwadi Party leader further contended that some regional parties lack even their own communication infrastructure. "Their microphones and loudspeakers belong to other parties," Yadav claimed, suggesting a dependence on larger political organizations for basic organizational resources and amplification.

Yadav's remarks reflect ongoing tensions among regional and opposition parties in Indian politics. The criticism highlights disputes over party autonomy, funding sources, and strategic independence that continue to mark India's multi-party political landscape, particularly ahead of state and national elections.
