Park authorities in the United States have recovered an unprecedented volume of discarded items from Yellowstone National Park in a single year, highlighting the growing challenge of managing waste in protected natural areas.

Cleanup operations at Yellowstone National Park have tallied over 2,000 pieces of litter removed from the site so far this year, marking a significant increase in recorded waste collection. Among the recovered items are 280 hats and 36 pairs of sunglasses, alongside numerous other objects left behind by visitors to the iconic park.
The accumulation of such items underscores ongoing concerns about visitor conduct in one of North America's most visited natural attractions. Park officials have attributed the substantial trash haul to increased foot traffic and the seasonal migration patterns of tourists who may inadvertently or deliberately leave personal belongings behind.
